College Awareness Month: We will continue to discuss college awareness at Center this month and will be doing an activity next week that necessitates that all scholars bring white t-shirts they can write on. Please send scholars to Center on Tuesday with a plain white t-shirt they can write on.
Center Staff Communication: this week marks our 1st full week of POWER. Please take note of your scholar’s POWER designation, and touch base with your scholar’s Achievement Coach. Next week will conclude the first two weeks of POWER. Any yellow or red scholars will be prohibited from attending our fall trip; let’s work together to ensure no scholars fall into that category.
Khan Academy Pilot: All 7th and 8th grade families were asked to register their scholars for the Khan Academy during the 1st week of Center. If you have not done so, please complete this immediately. This week scholars should begin their 1 hour per week Khan Academy supplemental work. This is a critical component of the 7th and 8th graders supplemental work, so please contact me or Ms. Amelia for assistance utilizing the program.
