Portfolios: I urge you all to look at your child’s portfolio from this summer; the scholars did a very good job creating them. A lot of work and support from staff helped to create powerful and exemplary work.
Olympics of the Mind: So as you may know by now, Ward 6 didn’t win the overall Olympics of the Mind trophy this year; we’ll get them next year. However, this year we made a little bit of history bringing home honors in two areas: 1st place tie (w/Alexandria) for the Spirit Award, and 1st place 5th and 6th grade points. Lastly, a huge shout-out to the 8th grade scholars for their entire leadership on this day; they are a big reason why we were so successful.
