-No Center October 10th & 13th
-Mayer Brown Law Firm Trip- Each year during the Columbus Day Holiday, Higher Achievement sponsors a trip to a local area law firm for five select scholars from each Center. This year, the scholars will be returning to the Mayer Brown law firm for a day of engaging activities culminating in a mock trial. If you are interested in having your scholars participate, please let me know, and I will follow-up accordingly. I t is important to note that a good amount of preparation is required on the part of the scholar in order to attend, so please consider this before inquiring.
-High School Fair- The High School Fair will be taking place on Saturday, October 22nd, from 10 am – 1 pm, at the Kennedy Recreation Center (1401 7th St NW, near the Shaw Metro). We expect over 30 schools and college access organizations to be in attendance. We strongly encourage all 7th and 8th grade families to attend.
